Auditorium Technician
Joel Howden started at Fullerton College in 1994 as a deck electrician. After working his way up to Master Electrician, he was offered a full-time position as Theatre Technician for the Theater Operations Department in 2000. Since then he has served as Assistant Manager and Technical Director (honorary titles) for the on-campus facilities. He also serves as lighting designer for Bravo! Entertainment Company, sound designer for various productions by the Theater Arts Department, and Audio Editor for the Dance Department. Off campus, Joel works part-time at the Disneyland Resort as a Stage Technician. Working mainly on special events, he has served as Master Electrician and Assistant Lighting Designer for various events. One of his recent highlights was being able to be the Assistant Technical Director and Assistant Lighting Designer for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim post game parties during the 2005 American League Championship Series. When not at work, Joel spends all the time he can with his inspirations for all he does, his wife Desiree and son Caleb. Joel, Desiree, and Caleb are expecting their second child in April 2006.
